A must not be missed heritage tramway museum. This museum is so well run and presented, you shouldn’t hesitate to visit.

Been few times, enjoy taking the grandchildren. They love the tram rides, and I particularly enjoy the woodland walk. Worth a visit. We found it more worthwhile to buy a family pass that you can use for a year. We went on one of the school half terms and there were additional fairground rides, note though that these are not always there.

I went there the other week with my daughter and grandad kids.
It's a great place to visit for all age groups. We had a 2 1/2 year old and a 7 month old baby, pram access was no problem as there are ramps down to the main area, which is only 20 ft or so.
There are tram rides up to the top all day long and usually 3 different trams to ride on.
At the top there is a walk back down (if you want to ) through the woods with different things for kids to see, there is a playground for kids as well.
There are loads of old trams in an exhibition hall from all over the world and one you can go in and have a look around.
There is a cafe, a pub, a gift shop, an old fashioned sweet shop and ice cream parlour.
It's a great day out for all ages and abilities

Worth a visit if you've never been before, but not somewhere you can revisit as it doesn't change. But first time you and any kiddoes will love it and it's not expensive to get in.

I love this place.very steep hill as it's built in an old quarry but plenty of trams to go up and down. Lovely quaint historic shops. Museum and workshop. There's a picnic area too. Plenty of car parking onsite.

We had a really great day the volunteers we dressed as ragged victorian characters they were very realistic and great fun, looking around the trams and having a ride on them with the old pennies.

We took our grandson to the lights day on Saturday 9.11.24. We arrived about 1.30 and left about 7pm. All the staff and volunteers are so friendly and very informative about the trams, the museum, and their life as the character they are dressed in. It was very chilly and they must have been very cold, but they were brilliant. Beautiful old trams in very good condition all lit up allso lots of other things to see and do. Great day out we all really enjoyed it. Thank you to you all and very well done 👏

I visited the Tramway Museum last Sunday 1th Nov for their "Journey Through Time and Light" Victorian event.
What a disappointment!!
Hardly any effort was made, a few random people in scruffy clothes and some Morris type dancers.
It felt as though they just wanted their season to end.
Catering was abysmal, lack of seating and ran out of food early afternoon. When further supplies appeared the microwaved pappy sausage rolls were pretty grim.
None of the volunteers seemed interested, heard one moaning about how cold he was.
Everything about it was half hearted and nothing like how it was publicised beforehand.
Despite my enthusiasm for Trams I will not be visiting here again.
Next year my end of season illuminated tram visit will be at the ASVI Museum in Thuin who know how to look after their visitors properly.
My wife and I spent thirty pounds on this along with the overnight cost to stay at Ripley Premier Inn.
Total waste of money and we came away feeling a bit conned.
In retrospect do you honestly think that was your best effort?

We visited on a cold autumn day with our 2 grandchildren and were treated to a warm welcome by all staff members and volunteers, there is something for everyone here, very good value for money as the admission tickets last all year.

I have been to Crich many times but my partner hasnt. Went to the festival of light last night we both loved it. There were loads of people in period dress. The staff were very helpfull and friendly as usual. My partner wants to go back in the day light to see more. Well done
